TUAN Reunion in Malaysia Held

On Monday, September 1, TUAN reunion in Malaysia was held at Amari Kuala Lumpur, with the attendance of President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President and Executive Director for Education KATO Mitsuyasu, Vice President for Student Affairs CHIBA Chikafumi, and Executive Officer for Business and Stakeholder Relations KANAHO Yasunori, among others.

TUAN (Tsukuba Universal Alumni Network) is an alumni association network established in October 2023 that connects the university with overseas alumni organizations and alumni (including Japanese).

The event began with opening remarks by Executive Officer KANAHO, marking the first-ever TUAN alumni gathering in Malaysia.

Following this, President NAGATA addressed the attendees, emphasizing that TUAN is not only an organization for alumni but also includes current students, faculty members, and employees. He encouraged everyone to enjoy open conversations and deepen their connections, as the gathering serves as a platform to broaden individual expertise and global perspectives.

The social gathering that followed unfolded in a warm and friendly atmosphere, fostering cross-generational and interdisciplinary exchanges.

Notably, students who enrolled at University of Tsukuba, Malaysia in the AY 2024 also participated and were introduced, enabling interaction not only among alumni but also with current students. The event was a meaningful occasion that truly embodied the spirit of TUAN.

It concluded with closing remarks by Vice President CHIBA, bringing the two-hour TUAN in Malaysia gathering to a successful close.
