TUAN Alumni Association Meeting Held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

On March 1, Dr. Ngo Thi Lan Phuong, representative of the Tsukuba Universal Alumni Network (TUAN), held an alumni association meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in collaboration with graduates from the area. TUAN was established as part of a commemorative project on October 1, 2023, marking the 151st anniversary of its founding and the 50th anniversary of its opening, and includes not only former international students who obtained degrees at this university, but also Japanese graduates and alumni living abroad, current international students, and current Japanese students.
The Ho Chi Minh alumni association meeting was attended by 21 alumni and current students, as well as key figures such as Director Nakao Nomura of the Student Support Center Office for International Exchange Support, Associate Professor Ho Kiong, and Assistant Professors Mayers Thomas David and Vuong Cat Khanh of the Institute of Medicine. Participants shared updates on their recent activities and reminisced about their memories at the university. There was also a lively discussion about the future development of TUAN.
Moving forward, we aim to create opportunities for alumni to connect across nationalities and generations, fostering the growth of an international network centered around the University of Tsukuba.
