Notice of Summer Holidays

In order to contribute to energy conservation and reduction of CO₂ emissions, as well as to refresh the minds and bodies of faculty members and employees during the summer and to reduce electricity consumption this summer, the University will be closed during the following period at all business sites except for the University of Tsukuba Hospital and University of Tsukuba, Malaysia. As a general rule, all departments will suspend operations during the summer holidays. If you are in a hurry to issue certificates, etc., please contact the relevant department in advance. We ask for your understanding and cooperation regarding the purpose of the summer holidays.

Implementation period of summer holidays

August 13 (Tuesday) through August 16 (Friday), 2024
(However, for organizations that work Tuesday through Saturday, August 17 (Saturday), which is a work day, will also be closed. Please note that the University of Tsukuba Gallery and the University of Tsukuba Art Space will be closed from August 10 (Saturday) to August 18 (Sunday).

* As a general rule, the centralized air-conditioning system on campus will be turned off, so please be careful to avoid heat stroke.
* The University of Tsukuba Hospital will operate as usual.
