Secretary General of the Silver Economy Network visits Our Tsukuba Campus from Milan, Italy

On April 9, Mr. Felice Lopane, of the Silver Economy Network/ Head of Life Sciences of the Assolombarda visited our Tsukuba Campus and met with Vice President/Executive Director IKEDA Jun (Global Affairs), Vice President NAKAUCHI Yasushi (Collaborative Research), Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu (Director General, Bureau of Global Initiatives), Professor SANKAI Yoshiyuki (Institute of Systems and Information Engineering), Professor OKURA Tomohiro (Institute of Health and Sport Sciences), and Professor TAMIYA Nanako (Institute of Medicine).

During the discussion, Vice President IKEDA first gave an overview of our university, after which the Secretary General gave an overview of the Silver Economy Network and the cooperation expected from our university. Following this, Prof. SANKAI, Prof. OKURA, and Prof. TAMIYA made a presentation on their research. They actively exchanged their views on cooperation in the field of medical and nursing care for the elderly.

Going forward, collaborations between the Silver Economy Network and our university are expected.
