Secretary General of the French Judo Academy Visits President Nagata

On March 7, 2024, Dr. Michel Brousse, Secretary General of the French Judo Academy visited our Tsukuba campus, and had discussions with President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President/Executive Director IKEDA Jun (Global Affairs), Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu (Director-General, Bureau of Global Initiatives), Professor FUKASAWA Koyo (Institute of Health and Sport Sciences), Professor Rakwal Randeep (Institute of Health and Sport Sciences), Professor MASUCHI Katsuyuki (Institute of Health and Sport Sciences), Assistant Professor HIRAOKA Hiroaki (Institute of Health and Sport Sciences), and Specially Appointed Professor KIJIMA Joji.

During the meeting, they reflected on the numerous past exchanges between him and the university through judo, and they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation for the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic games.

Moving forward, further collaboration through judo between French institutions and our university is expected.
