Roundtable Meeting between the President and Members of the Student Representative Conference
On June 7, the "Roundtable Meeting between the President and Members of the Student Representative Conference (Zendaikai)" was held. This roundtable meeting is held every year for the purpose of explaining to the President, Vice Presidents, and other members of the Student Representative Conference the activity policy formulated by the new chairpersons and other members, and to hold discussions with them, as new members of the conference become members every May.
The first part of the meeting consisted of two parts, beginning with a greeting by President NAGATA Kyosuke, moderated by Head of the Student Support Office KAGA Nobuhiro, followed by an explanation of this year's activity policy by Mr. HAYASHI Rintaro, Student Representative Conference Chair (3rd year, College of Policy and Planning Sciences, School of Science and Engineering) and the chairpersons of each committee of this year's activities. The Student Representative Conference also presented topics such as the distribution of the list of open classes and the use of air conditioning during extracurricular activities, and a lively exchange of opinions ensued.
In the second part of the meeting (Exchange Party), students and faculty members, including the President, enjoyed light refreshments and a friendly atmosphere, and freely and openly exchanged opinions on topics such as student participation in future student support programs.
This was the first time in four years that the second part of the meeting was held while enjoying light refreshments, since the exchange party could not be held until last year due to the effects of the new coronavirus infection. It was a valuable opportunity for students and the President and Vice President, who do not usually have the chance to meet face-to-face, to get to know each other in an open and frank manner.
