Prof. KONSTANTINOS KONTIS, Dean for Global Engagement (China / East Asia), University of Glasgow, visits President NAGATA

On May 30, Prof. KONSTANTINOS KONTIS of the University of Glasgow met with President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President and Executive Director for Global Affairs BENTON Caroline F., Vice President and Executive Director for Collaborative Research KANAHO Yasunori, Executive Officer TSUJIMURA Maki (Director, Malaysia Branch Campus Preparation Office), Professor ONDA Yuichi of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, Associate Professor JOHO Hideo of the Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science, and Associate Professor YU Hai-Tao of the Faculty of Library, Information and Media Science. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of future collaboration between the two universities and expressed their expectations for further strengthening of cooperation between the University of Tsukuba and the University of Glasgow.

After the meeting with the President, Prof. KONTIS visited the Plasma Research Center, and the Center for Cybernics Research with Executive Officer TSUJIMURA, where he was briefed by Professor SAKAMOTO Mizuki, Director of the Plasma Research Center, and Professor SANKAI Yoshiyuki, Executive Research Director of the Center for Cybernics Research. After that, they visited CYBERDYNE Inc., launched at the University of Tsukuba and where Professor SANKAI serves as President and CEO, and were briefed on the company's activities.
