President Nagata Attends the AEARU Board of Directors Meeting and Annual General Meeting
The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) held its 45th Board of Directors Meeting and 25th Annual General Meeting at Yonsei University in Korea, on November 30. President Kyosuke Nagata, a chairperson of the AEARU Board of Directors, Vice President Benton Caroline (Global Affairs), and Director Osamu Ohneda (Office of Global Initiatives) attended the meetings.
President Kyosuke Nagata served as the chairperson and Vice President Benton Caroline joined as a moderator of the meeting. During the meeting, an activity report and an accounting report for FY 2018 to FY 2019 was released and the next chairperson and management policy for the future were discussed.
This was the last meeting for President Nagata as the chairperson because of the end of his two-year term from 2018 to 2019.
The Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) is a regional organization founded in 1996, with the goals of forming a forum for the presidents of leading research-oriented universities in East Asia and of carrying out mutual exchanges between the major universities in the region. AEARU's activities include the Annual General Meeting, Board of Directors Meeting by representative universities, an international symposium on a specific theme, and a student summer camp.
