Course Scheduling for AY 2020 Based on Consideration for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020

University of Tsukuba is making cooperation towards the activities related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
At Tsukuba Campus, we plan to set the academic calendar for AY 2020 which includes basically no class or test during the Games. As actual measures, the entrance ceremony and the starting day of the spring semester will be scheduled earlier than usual. In addition, some Saturdays between April and June (seven days or so in total) will be scheduled as class days.
In exceptional cases, some courses have the possibility to give the class and test during the Games. If a student needs to be absent from class because of duties as a Games Volunteer, he/she can apply for special consideration to the university.
