Final Presentation and Completion Ceremony for Intensive Japanese Course for Japanese Government Scholarship Students (Batch October 2018)
The completion ceremony for the Intensive Japanese Course for the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship Students who entered the University of Tsukuba in October of 2018 was held at the University of Tsukuba Center for Education of Global Communication (CEGLOC) on February 7.
The attendees gave slide and poster presentations about their home countries in Japanese. They exchanged opinions during a question and answer period after the presentations.
The ceremony started with an opening speech by Professor Hirosada Iwasaki of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (Director of CEGLOC), in the speech he encouraged international students who study hard away from their homeland, quoted from the old Japanese saying: "The frog in the well knows nothing of the great ocean".
All of them are students of the Japanese Language Teacher Training Course at CEGLOC and planning to stay in Japan for another year, participating in their specific research fields and learning the Japanese language. They are expected to become a good spokesman for Japan as a teacher back in their homeland.
The students who entered in the Intensive Japanese Course starting from October 2018 are from the following nations: Ghana, Singapore, China, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Brazil, Malawi, Peru.
