A Delegation from Khon Kaen University visits Director Osamu Ohneda (Office of Global Initiatives)

On December 26, from Khon Kaen University of Thailand, Associate Professor Supat Sinawat, Medical Doctor, Associate Dean for International Relations and Cooperation Strategies, Mrs. Duangsamorn Chankwang, Head of International Relations Office, and Ms. Kanokphorn Hinthao, Head of International Information and Communication Unit, International Relations Office made a courtesy visit to Director Osamu Ohneda (Office of Global Initiatives) of the University of Tsukuba during their visit to Japan.

The visit initiated an exchange of opinions in regard to the expansion of academic and research exchanges with Thailand and the CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam) through Khon Kaen University. The holding of a symposium to manage and promote ongoing joint research was also mentioned.

In addition, the delegation exchanged ideas about planning a specific action plan for promoting exchange with our faculty members in medicine, and then toured the University of Tsukuba Hospital. The two universities are expected to expand academic and research exchanges in the future.
