50th Anniversary Event - DESIGN THE FUTURE Marché Held at Tsukuba Campus

On October 1, the University of Tsukuba celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Following the commemorative ceremony at the Tsukuba International Congress Center on the previous day, various commemorative events were held at the Tsukuba Campus, It was an opportunity for current students, alumni, and citizens to get to know each other.
The commemorative event, "DESIGN THE FUTURE Marché," began with an opening ceremony at 10:00 am, during which President NAGATA presented certificates of appreciation to those who have made significant contributions in Japan.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the University of Tsukuba since its opening on October 1, 1973.
President NAGATA Kyosuke addressed the "Opening Ceremony" held in the morning, expressing his gratitude for the commemorative ceremony held the day before, and stated the following:


"Today is the first event after marking our 50th anniversary. We would like to take a new step forward to transform the stereotyped society and university. I would like to take on the challenge of fundamentally changing stereotypes together with all of you."

"TSUKUBA LIVE!" is a home game event organized by the University of Tsukuba with the vision of "expanding the potential of university sports and creating exchange, excitement, and culture through sports." Dr. NGO THI LAN PHUONG from Vietnam Appointed as Representative of Overseas Alumni Network

The four candidates from Pakistan, Peru, Vietnam, and the US were invited by the university. Before coming to Tsukuba, they have won the online first round of voting. In the final voting, which took place on October 1, they presented their good memories and experiences here in Tsukuba and their enthusiasm for leading the new alumni association.
