University of Tsukuba's 151st + 50th Anniversary Ceremony
Commemorative Ceremony Held to Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of University of Tsukuba
On September 30, the commemorative ceremony was held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University of Tsukuba.
The guests of honor included Mr. YASUE Nobuo, a parliamentary official on behalf of the Minister for Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Dr. Yassine Lakhnech, President of Université Grenoble Alpes in France. In addition, a video message was shown from former President ESAKI Leo on the 50th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Physics (1973). Also in attendance was Tsukuba City Mayor Mr. IGARASHI Tatsuo, a graduate of the university and a local resident of Tsukuba City.
Former Prime Minister Mahathir Rushes to Commemoration Ceremony
Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, the long-serving Prime Minister of Malaysia, attended and delivered a congratulatory speech at the 151st+50th Anniversary of the University of Tsukuba Anniversary.
The ceremony was held on September 30 at the Tsukuba International Congress Center in Tsukuba City.
Commemorative Lecture by Professor Emeritus SHIRAKAWA Hideki
A commemorative ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of the University of Tsukuba was held at the Tsukuba International Congress Center on September 30.
Professor Emeritus SHIRAKAWA Hideki, a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, gave a commemorative lecture titled "My Research and Tsukuba: Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, and University of Tsukuba."
Alumni Vividly Talk about "Adventurers' DESIGN THE FUTURE.""
The event, called "Interview with Alumni," was held during the 50th anniversary ceremony of the University of Tsukuba (September 30, Tsukuba International Congress Center).
Alumni who are active in various fields took the stage or appeared in video messages under the three themes of "Sports Science," "Media Information," and "Global Scene."
